How to Hide and Show Internet Explorer Icon on desktop!

Show and Hide tick option not found on Customize desktop option on Display properties!


Here is the Solution:

Steps For Hide or removing Internet Explorer icon from desktop:

1.Go to Run From Start Menu than type gpedit.msc
2.Than Hit enter to visit on Group Policy option.
3.Click on Administrative Templates on User Configuration
4.Double Click on Desktop folder (its appears in right hand side on Administrative Templates).
5.Its gives you Setting option to configure their items.
6.Find Hide Internet Explorer Icon on Desktop.
7.Double click on it
8.Its show Not Configured just tick on Enable option than apply and OK.

9.Restart your Computer.. Internet Explorer is Hide or Gone from your Desktop.

Steps For UnHide or showing Internet Explorer icon on desktop:

1. Go to Run type gpedit.msc
2. Than Hit enter to visit on Group Policy option.
3. Click on Administrative Templates on User Configuration
4. Double Click on Desktop folder (its appears in right hand side on Administrative Templates).
5. Its gives you Setting option to configure their items.
6. Find Hide Internet Explorer Icon on Desktop.
7. Double click on it.
8. Just tick on Not Configured instead of Enable option than apply and OK.


9. Restart your Computer.. Internet Explorer is Unhide! Good luck!
